Alyssa and Katelyn

After taking some pictures of Bailey that turned out really cute, I decided to take some of Alyssa and Katelyn. I was quickly reminded why I don't try this often! We got one or two of Alyssa before she started trying to pull a fake, painful looking smile. When I showed her what the pictures were looking like she started crying and begged me not to send those ones to grandma and grandpa!
I look at this picture of Alyssa and can't believe how fast my little girl is growing up. Just registering her for Kindergarten a couple of weeks ago almost made me cry. (Don't get me wrong, It will be awesome to have one child in kindergarten, one in preschool, and 4 whole hours per week with only one child at home.)But, the fact that Alyssa is already old enough to start kindergarten is shocking to me. Thinking about it really makes me want to try a little harder to ENJOY all the time we have together right now.
Alyssa is such a fun, sweet girl, who loves to color, dance, ride her bike, play with friends, bake in her easy bake oven, wash the dishes (when it's her idea), tease Katelyn, collect rocks and shells, and make Bailey laugh. I love that she will crawl into my bed and cuddle with me when she wakes up in the morning. She is such a tender-hearted little girl- she feels terrible when she's hurt someone's feelings. She loves to talk and ask questions. Sometimes I think I'm talking to another adult because of some of the things she will say. At night she begs me or Mark to lie down with her and tell her stories about when we were little. She truly is such and blessing in our lives!

Katelyn is such a little goofball. She will stay for pictures as long as she can make any funny face she wants to. She has got such a spunky little personality- she is just one of those kids who is constantly doing and saying things that make us laugh so hard. Well, none of these pictures are what I was hoping for, but they definitely represent her personality right now. Katelyn is really excited to go to preschool in the fall. She loves going to primary which she calls her "snack class". She likes to remind Alyssa that she still gets snacks in Sunbeams and Alyssa doesn't get any. Katelyn is the slowest eater in the world! She loves to eat and often sits at the table working on her meal for over an hour. She doesn't want us to take her plate before she's eaten all her food, but we have to set time limits and tell her she only has one minute left before we take her plate. She definitely brings a lot of happiness and laughter into our family.

I laugh at how similiar our children are. One tender and sweet and the other spunky and hilarious. Don't you wonder where the third one will fit in?
